Lines and axes of research

Research lines and areas Line 1: Innovations and Practices in Educational Technology

This line of research focuses on the development and application of information and communication technologies integrated with innovative methods used in educational contexts. It is based on the idea of enabling learner engagement, considering their creative potential, in the face of protagonism and knowledge construction in technological environments, to perform contextualized tasks that provide meaning and significance to their learning process. Therefore, this line aims to enable the development of projects for the construction or use of technological tools, such as educational software, digital content, and virtual teaching-learning environments, as well as to provide experimentation, creation, development, and evaluation of innovative didactic-methodological practices integrated with the use of information and communication technologies.

Line 2: Management and Policies in Educational Technology

This line of research analyzes the conceptual categories of this field of study from the perspective of shaping thinking for better social integration through affirmative action in the field of technologies applied to education in formal, informal, and non-formal environments, articulating with other areas of knowledge that support them. It reflects the meaning of the use of educational technologies in a complex society, based on the variables that demarcate the epistemological fields from technicality to deterministic mechanism and from this to technogenesis, emphasizing the stage of human culture as a process of creation and transformation of objective reality. This line of research also highlights aspects related to the management and evaluation of education at the central and sectoral administration levels, teaching systems and units, and the planning of educational actions with an emphasis on the development and use of technologies in educational environments. This discussion highlights approaches that highlight the relationship between education and the achievement of human rights as a criterion for overcoming regional challenges. It is based on the idea of associating public policies, management, evaluation, and planning in complex societies with the conscious use of technologies. Therefore, the line of research aims to develop projects that promote coordination between educational management processes and public policies with the use of educational technologies, in order to promote an educational environment conducive to producing innovations effectively, with equity and quality in the digital inclusion of the subjects involved in the process.
